Adiala Jail denies Imran's solitary confinement

ISLAMABAD:

The superintendent of Adiala Jail has denied that the PTI founder is being held in solitary confinement, informing the IHC that the practice of solitary confinement has largely been abolished in prisons.

The jail authorities submitted the report in response to a petition filed by Aleema Khan challenging the alleged solitary confinement of the PTI founder.

The case is scheduled to be heard by Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro on Thursday.

In the report, the superintendent stated that no inmate at Adiala Jail was being kept in solitary confinement.
