Minister pays glowing tributes to police

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Shafi Jan on Tuesday paid glowing tribute to the brave martyrs of the provincial police, who made the ultimate sacrifice for establishment of peace, law and order, the supremacy of the rule of law, the protection of citizens' lives and property, and the eradication of the scourge of terrorism from our beloved homeland.

In his message on the occasion of Police Martyrs' Day, the minister termed the courageous officers true heroes of our nation. "Their timeless sacrifices have laid the foundation for peace, stability, national dignity, and a brighter future. The entire nation salutes their unwavering courage and selflessness, and their services will forever be remembered with honour, gratitude, and pride."

He added that the welfare, dignity, and well-being of the families of our martyrs are a collective responsibility of both the government and society.

He said the K-P government has placed the support of police martyrs' families among its foremost priorities. "Through the Martyrs' Package, the government is providing financial assistance, employment opportunities, educational support, and other essential benefits to ensure that the families of our fallen heroes receive the care, security, and support they rightfully deserve."

"Terrorism continues to pose a serious challenge to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the country as a whole''.
