Govt committed to interfaith harmony: minister

ISLAMABAD:

Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on Tuesday affirmed that the government remained committed to promoting interfaith harmony, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence nationwide.

He expressed these views during a meeting with the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman and Khatib of the historic Badshahi Mosque Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad along with renowned international preacher and interfaith scholar Dr Leif Hetland.

Yousaf emphasized that the Constitution guaranteed equal rights.
