Pakistan Women ended their Sri Lanka tour on a positive note after defeating the hosts by four wickets in the third and final T20 International at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Tuesday.
After winning the toss and choosing to field, Pakistan restricted Sri Lanka Women to 113/6 in 20 oversdespite the hosts making a good start.
Pakistan then chased down the target, scoring 115/6 in 18.2 overs to seal a four-wicket victory with 10 balls remaining.
The win helped Pakistan avoid a series whitewash after Sri Lanka had already secured the three-match T20I series by winning the opening two matches.
Sri Lanka also won the earlier three-match ODI series 2-1, giving them victories in both white-ball series on home soil.
Pakistan’s bowlers laid the foundation for the win by pulling Sri Lanka back after a strong start, while the batters completed the chase comfortably to finish the tour with a confidence-boosting victory.
