Jonathan Taylor Thomas reunites with 'Home Improvement' co-stars Patricia Richardson and Taran Noah Smith

Home Improvement fans were treated to a nostalgic surprise after Patricia Richardson shared a rare reunion photo featuring former co-stars Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Taran Noah Smith.

The image marks one of Thomas’ first public appearances in years, delighting longtime viewers of the hit 1990s sitcom.

Richardson, who portrayed family matriarch Jill Taylor throughout the show's eight-season run, posted the photo on social media with the caption, “My other boys,” alongside a heart emoji. Thomas and Smith played her on-screen sons Randy and Mark Taylor, respectively, becoming household names during the series’ successful run on ABC.

Jonathan Taylor Thomas largely stepped away from the spotlight after leaving Home Improvement before its final season. After achieving widespread fame as a child actor, including voicing Young Simba in Disney’s The Lion King and starring in films such as Man of the House and Tom and Huck, he chose to focus on his education. Thomas later attended Harvard University, Columbia University and the University of St Andrews in Scotland before returning to Los Angeles to pursue writing and directing.

He briefly reunited with Tim Allen and Richardson on Last Man Standing between 2013 and 2015, but has remained mostly out of the public eye ever since.

The reunion also comes weeks after Tim Allen addressed ongoing speculation about a potential Home Improvement revival. While acknowledging past discussions, Allen suggested that securing the participation of all the original cast members has proven challenging.

For now, Richardson’s reunion photo offers fans a rare glimpse of the beloved sitcom cast and serves as a reminder of the enduring popularity of Home Improvement decades after it first aired.
