Man shoots stepmother over property dispute

A woman was injured after her stepson allegedly shot her during a property dispute in the Rangpur area of Muzaffargarh, police said on Wednesday.

Police the suspect, identified as Yasir, allegedly entered the woman's house along with three accomplices late on Wednesday and opened fire on his stepmother, Sajida, leaving her seriously injured. The victim was rushed to Nishtar Hospital in Multan, where she remains under treatment in critical condition. District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah took notice of the incident and directed immediate action.
