Tom Holland fails to recognise lyrics from Zendaya's hit song in front of her

Zendaya told him she would remember the moment "for a long time", while Holland appeared visibly embarrassed

Tom Holland found himself in an awkward and hilarious moment after failing to recognise the lyrics to one of wife Zendaya's biggest songs during a promotional interview for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The challenge saw Holland, Zendaya and co-star Jacob Batalon take part in a lyrics guessing game, with interviewer Lachlan Guertin reading out lines from various songs. When the lyrics to Zendaya's 2013 hit Replay were read aloud, neither Holland nor Batalon could identify them. It was only after Zendaya revealed they were from her own song that Holland realised his mistake.

Laughing at her husband's lapse, Zendaya jokingly told him she would remember the moment "for a long time", while Holland appeared visibly embarrassed. The playful exchange quickly became one of the standout moments from the film's press tour, delighting fans online.

Replay was the lead single from Zendaya's self-titled debut album, released in 2013 during her Disney Channel years. The track became her biggest solo hit, reaching the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 and remaining one of her most recognisable songs, despite the actress largely stepping away from music to focus on her acting career.

The light-hearted moment comes as Holland and Zendaya continue promoting Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which opens in cinemas on July 31. The pair, who recently confirmed their marriage after years of speculation, have been sharing plenty of playful moments during the film's global press tour.
