Services chiefs pay tributes to Capt Sarwar Shaheed

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff; Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff; and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, on Sunday paid tribute to Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of his martyrdom, honoring his unparalleled courage, unwavering commitment, and supreme sacrifice in the defence of the nation, says a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

On 27 July 1948 during the First Kashmir War at Tilpatra, Azad Kashmir, Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed became the first Pakistani to be the recipient of Nishan-e-Haider after embracing martyrdom in the line of duty for freedom of Kashmir. Leading his men from the front, he displayed extraordinary courage, exceptional tactical brilliance and unwavering devotion to duty, the release noted.

His eternal sacrifice stands as a timeless symbol of courage, resilience and selfless devotion to the nation. The people and armed forces of Pakistan pay profound tribute to his enduring legacy with the deepest respect and gratitude. His supreme sacrifice continues to inspire present and future generations to uphold the highest principles of duty, honour and patriotism, the military's media wing said.
