Fake media card holder held

HYDERABAD:

Police arrested two suspects, including a man allegedly carrying a fake media card, and recovered narcotics during separate operations in Hyderabad.

In another action, police also arrested a driver wanted in a fatal hit-and-run case.

According to a district police spokesperson, A-Section police signalled two men riding a motorcycle to stop near Maji Chowk in Latifabad Unit-7 after finding them suspicious. The suspects allegedly attempted to flee but were apprehended following a brief chase.

During initial questioning, one of the suspects, identified as Iftikhar Ahmed Wattoo, allegedly claimed to be a journalist and produced what police described as a fake media card.
