Bugti vows support for martyrs' families
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Friday announced that the provincial government will bear all educational expenses of the children of martyred District and Sessions Judge Abdul Hakim Kakar, reaffirming the government's commitment to supporting the families of those who sacrifice their lives in the line of duty.
The announcement came during the chief minister's visit to the residence of the late judge, where he offered condolences to the bereaved family, met the martyr's children, offered fateha, and prayed for the departed soul's elevated status as well as patience and strength for the family.
"The Government of Balochistan will never leave the families of martyrs alone. It is our responsibility to support them, and we will fulfil this duty," Bugti said.
Paying tribute to Judge Abdul Hakim Kakar, the chief minister said the slain judicial officer embraced martyrdom while upholding the rule of law and serving Pakistan's justice system.
"Shaheed Abdul Hakim Kakar laid down his life in the service of justice and the supremacy of law. His sacrifice will always be remembered with honour," he said.
Bugti also announced complete educational support and necessary financial assistance for the judge's children to ensure that their education and future remain unaffected.
Reaffirming the provincial government's resolve against terrorism, the chief minister said no attempt to undermine peace, development, or state institutions in Balochistan would be allowed to succeed. He vowed that the sacrifices of martyrs would not go in vain and that those responsible for terrorist acts would be brought to justice in accordance with the law.
He further reiterated that the provincial administration stands shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan's security forces and all state institutions in the fight against terrorism and remains committed to maintaining lasting peace across the province.
Later, Bugti visited a local hospital to inquire about the health of Additional Sessions Judge Tariq Lashari, who was injured in the same terrorist attack.
