Actors Roma Michael and Shan Baig have reportedly tied the knot, sharing the news through resharing congratulatory posts from friends and family on Instagram, while Baig also addressed questions surrounding his previous marriage in a personal statement.

One congratulatory message shared by Roma read, "My baby got hitched. May Allah keep you guys happy. Evil eyes off. Keep them in your prayers, guys. I wish you all the happiness and prosperity."

Following the announcement, Baig issued a statement revealing that his divorce had been finalised some time ago and that both he and his former spouse had moved on with their lives.

"To my family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who has supported me, I would like to share that my divorce was finalised some time ago, and both parties have since moved forward with their lives," he wrote.

Baig said he had now remarried and was beginning a new chapter "filled with hope, happiness, and gratitude." "I am thankful for the support and well wishes I have received from those who have stood by me throughout this journey," he added.

The actor also appealed for privacy and urged people not to dwell on the past.

"Out of respect for everyone involved, I kindly ask that the past be left in the past. I would appreciate it if no rumours, assumptions, or comparisons are made, and that the privacy of all individuals involved continues to be respected."

He concluded by saying his focus was now on his family, his responsibilities as a father, his marriage and "the future that lies ahead."

The couple have yet to share official wedding photographs on their Instagram feeds.

Baig is best known for his roles in Hum Usi Kay Hain and Rabbaway, while Roma recently appeared in Delhi Gate and represented Pakistan on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet earlier this year.
