Panel seeks fresh Radio Pakistan probe report

The fifth meeting of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly's Special Committee on the Radio Pakistan Peshawar tragedy was held on Monday at the Provincial Assembly Secretariat.
The session was chaired by Chairman of the Special Committee and Provincial Minister for Law, Aftab Alam. Provincial Minister for Revenue and Estate Tariq Mahmood Aryan, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Food Muhammad Israr, and committee members including MPAs Tariq Saeed and Adnan Khan also attended. Senior officials from the Police, Home, and Law departments, the Advocate General, Special Prosecutor, and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Assembly Secretariat Tariq Noor, along with other relevant officers, were present.
The meeting conducted a detailed review of the investigation progress into the cases related to the Radio Pakistan Peshawar incident. Committee members reminded the police that a comprehensive proforma had been provided in the previous meeting, seeking stage-wise investigation details, complete records of nominated and later-added accused persons, available evidence and its sources, quality of probe before filing challans, utilization of resources, current legal status of the cases, details of acquitted, convicted, and under-trial accused, CCTV footage, other evidence, chain of custody, and all records pertaining to the crime scene.
