Snatched vehicle recovered near Chakri

RAWALPINDI:

A vehicle snatched at gunpoint from the parking area of Islamabad airport was recovered near Chakri by Motorway Police during a timely operation.

The unidentified suspects managed to escape by taking advantage of the darkness.

According to a Motorway Police spokesperson, all patrolling units were immediately alerted after the incident was reported through the police helpline 130.

Motorway Police teams set up checkpoints and launched a search operation, during which the snatched vehicle was recovered near Chakri. The spokesperson said efforts were under way to arrest the suspects.

The recovered vehicle was handed over to the local police for legal proceedings, while further investigation into the incident continues.
