Distance Learning: New AIOU campus to open in Sialkot

SIALKOT: The regional campus of the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Islamabad will soon be established at Sialkot. According to AIOU officials, the new campus will help provide maximum opportunities for students to acquire higher education at the local level. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan disclosed this while talking to reporters on Monday. Awan said that the government would soon provide land for the earliest possible establishment of the AIOU regional campus at Sialkot. Earlier, the AIOU vice chancellor Dr Nazir Saangi visited Sialkot and gave a detailed briefing to the federal minister regarding the setting up of the AIOU regional campus in Sialkot.
