TWICE member Tzuyu remains in contract renewal discussions with JYP Entertainment, with the agency saying no decision has been finalised despite reports claiming she will leave after 11 years.

According to StarNews, JYP Entertainment responded to reports on July 14 that the Taiwanese singer had decided not to renew her contract, stating, "TWICE is currently in the contract renewal discussion period." The agency added: "We will provide updates once matters are finalized."

Earlier, NEWS1 reported that Tzuyu had agreed not to extend her contract with JYP Entertainment but that TWICE intends to continue promoting as a complete group.

Born Chou Tzu-yu, Tzuyu debuted with TWICE in 2015 after joining the group formed by JYP Entertainment. The singer, who is from Taiwan, is the group's youngest member and lead dancer. In September 2024, she made her solo debut with the mini-album abouTZU, led by the single "Run Away".

Over the past 11 years, TWICE has established itself as one of K-pop's most successful girl groups, releasing chart-topping songs including "Cheer Up", "TT" and "What Is Love?".

Most recently, TWICE completed its sixth world tour, "This Is For", concluding a run of concerts that began at Seoul's KSPO Dome and continued over the course of approximately a year.

For now, Tzuyu's future with JYP Entertainment remains uncertain, with the agency maintaining that contract discussions are ongoing and that an official announcement will be made once negotiations are complete.
