KARACHI:

Three sisters who were allegedly abducted from Gulshan-e-Hadeed earlier this month have been traced and recovered safely from a relative's house, police said on Sunday.

According to a spokesperson for the Malir Investigation Police, the incident took place on July 3 within the limits of Steel Town police station. A case was registered under kidnapping charges on the complaint of the girls' father.

The complainant told police that he had left for work in the morning while his daughters were at home. Upon returning in the afternoon, he found them missing. Neighbours later informed him that the sisters had left the house around 2pm.

Acting on the directives of the SSP Malir Investigation, police launched a search operation. During the probe, it emerged that the sisters had left home voluntarily due to domestic issues and had taken refuge at a relative's residence.

Police recovered the three girls safely. Officials said further investigation into the matter is under way.
