Qatar Hospital gets major upgrade after 43 years
.

Sindh Government Qatar Hospital in Orangi Town has undergone its largest-ever administrative and medical overhaul, with multiple new facilities and departments inaugurated after more than four decades.
Medical Superintendent Dr Rashid Siraj said the transformation followed a three-year legal and administrative battle to reclaim hospital land from illegal encroachments.
"The hospital, established in 1983, had seen key areas occupied by unauthorised medical stores and canteens, making it difficult to provide even basic services," he said while addressing an inauguration ceremony.
According to Dr Siraj, the administration fought six legal cases - including one in the Sindh High Court, two criminal and three civil cases - during the process. "Despite legal challenges and court notices, we persisted and successfully recovered the land for public use," he added.
