Iran shuts Indian consulate in Zahedan

The Indian diplomatic mission in the Iranian city of Zahedan has reportedly been closed, with Iranian authorities removing security installations around the premises and reopening surrounding roads to the public.

According to available information, the Government of Iran has shut down the Indian diplomatic mission in Zahedan.

Sources said roads leading to the Indian mission, which had previously been closed due to security arrangements, have now been reopened for public use. With the closure of the Indian mission, local residents in Zahedan will now be able to use the route that had earlier remained inaccessible because of security restrictions.
