PPP confident of sweeping AJK elections
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is confident of securing a historic victory in the upcoming Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections, believing it can capitalise on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PML-N) 'downfall' amid ongoing protests in the valley.
Party leader Chaudhry Riaz claimed that growing public discontent with the ruling PML-N has created the conditions for a sweeping electoral win.
Riaz said the ongoing protests across the valley had altered the political landscape, arguing that the changing public mood had opened the door for the PPP to emerge as the dominant force.
