PESHAWAR:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government is moving swiftly to position the province as a hub of modern technology by introducing multiple technology-driven initiatives aimed at improving public service delivery and promoting good governance.

Information and Public Relations Minister Shafi Jan said on Saturday that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, the provincial government is taking practical steps to deliver technology-based public services and strengthen modern governance.

"Making Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa a centre of modern technology is the top priority of the present government," Shafi Jan said. "Several important projects have been included in the current financial year's budget to achieve this goal."

The minister announced that the provincial government will establish the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Artificial Intelligence Authority at a cost of Rs1 billion. The authority's objectives include promoting the use of artificial intelligence in public services, making government systems more efficient, and advancing AI in the education sector.
