QUETTA:

The investigation into the targeted killing of prominent local entrepreneur Mohammad Hashim Noorzai has taken a decisive turn with the arrest and confession of three suspects.

According to senior police officials, the suspects, all residents of Satellite Town, were taken into custody three days ago in a secret operation. During intense interrogation, they broke down and admitted to orchestrating and carrying out the assassination, driven by intense professional jealousy and a bitter business rivalry over the victim's rapid commercial success.

Investigators have also recovered the vehicle used by the assailants in the attack.

Noorzai, owner of the well-known Kabul Jan Hotel on Airport Road and an active figure in Quetta's trading community, was ambushed on the morning of June 27 near the Baleli Bypass. He was driving from Kuchlak to Quetta when gunmen opened fire on his vehicle, killing him instantly.

The daylight shooting sparked immediate public outrage, with grieving family members and local traders staging widespread protests and blocking highways to demand swift justice.
