Adele's unfiltered message to McLaren drivers has fans talking

Adele toured McLaren's F1 headquarters, met Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, and joked about calling pit stops

Singer Adele visited McLaren's Formula 1 headquarters in Woking ahead of the British Grand Prix, where she met drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri and jokingly imagined what it would be like to work as part of the team's race operations.

The Grammy-winning artist toured McLaren's Technology Centre alongside her teenage son, who she revealed shares her growing enthusiasm for Formula 1. During the visit, Adele explored several areas of the team's headquarters, including Mission Control, where Team Principal Andrea Stella introduced her to the responsibilities of a race engineer during a Grand Prix weekend.

While sitting on the mock pit wall, Adele joked that if she were responsible for calling drivers into the pits, her instruction would simply be, "Hurry up, come in, quick now, it's time," prompting laughter from the McLaren team.

Adele also met McLaren Racing chief executive Zak Brown and spent time with Norris and Piastri. During the tour, Piastri guided the singer through a session on the team's racing simulator, while Norris jokingly offered to take her on a high-speed lap in a Formula 1 car. Adele responded enthusiastically but admitted she was more comfortable driving at much lower speeds.

Speaking about her son's passion for motorsport, Adele said karting had become an unexpected interest that brought them closer together, adding that they often debate their favourite Formula 1 drivers.

The visit comes as McLaren prepares for the British Grand Prix, with Norris and Piastri continuing their campaigns in the 2026 Formula 1 season. Adele's appearance at the team's headquarters has attracted widespread attention, highlighting her growing interest in the sport and offering fans a light-hearted glimpse behind the scenes at one of Formula 1's leading teams.
