9-1-1 actress Justene Alpert reveals heartbreaking reason behind pregnancy loss

Actress Justene Alpert has opened up about a deeply personal loss, revealing that she and her husband, Mason Trueblood, made the difficult decision to terminate a pregnancy after doctors discovered a rare genetic disorder affecting their unborn child.
In a statement shared on Instagram on June 24, the 9-1-1, Rescue: HI-Surf, and How I Met Your Mother actress explained that she was preparing to share news of the pregnancy with friends and family when doctors contacted the couple with concerning medical findings.
The procedure took place several weeks later, a decision Alpert described as emotionally devastating. She said the experience left both her and her husband struggling with feelings of grief, guilt and shame.
Alpert credited her husband, family members and close friends for supporting her through the difficult period. She also explained that she chose to share her story publicly in hopes of helping other women facing similar circumstances feel less isolated.
In her message, the actress paid tribute to her unborn son, whom she named Mads Mason Trueblood. She wrote that she would always love him and carry his memory with her.
