Matt Damon-Led Daniels Film Reveals Four New Cast Members
Daniels’ Universal film adds four new cast members to join Matt Damon in the mystery 2027 event movie

Daniels’ upcoming untitled event film at Universal Pictures has expanded its cast, with Silvia Dionicio, Jackson Kelly, Kerrice Brooks and Thalia Dudek joining the highly anticipated project.
According to Deadline, the four actors are the latest additions to the mystery film from Oscar-winning filmmakers Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as Daniels. Plot details and character information remain tightly guarded, with Universal declining to comment on the casting announcements.
The project already boasts an impressive ensemble led by Matt Damon, alongside Sandra Oh, Charles Melton and Sean Kaufman. While Damon is expected to serve as the film’s primary lead, reports indicate that the younger ensemble cast will play an equally significant role in the story, with Kaufman leading that group.
Daniels will write and direct the film, continuing their collaboration with producer Jonathan Wang under their Playgrounds production banner. The filmmaking duo previously earned widespread acclaim and Academy Awards recognition for Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Among the new cast members, Dionicio recently gained attention for her role in HBO’s Task and is set to appear in Netflix’s upcoming drama Poser. Kelly has appeared in projects including The Pitt, Imperfect Women and Chucky. Brooks is known for My Old Ass and Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, while Dudek’s credits include Doctor Who, Better Man and the upcoming adaptation of Carrie.
Universal executives Sara Scott and Jacqueline Garell are overseeing development of the project. Although story details remain under wraps, the combination of Daniels’ creative vision, Matt Damon’s star power and a growing ensemble of emerging talent has already generated significant industry interest.
The untitled Daniels event film is currently scheduled for theatrical release on November 19, 2027.
