Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have sparked renewed romance speculation after being spotted sharing an intimate picnic date in Santa Barbara, California.

The pop star and the former Canadian Prime Minister were photographed spending time together on a blanket at a Southern California park on Saturday, appearing relaxed and affectionate throughout the outing. Images show the pair lying close together, engaging in close conversation and sharing a kiss during the daytime picnic.

Perry, 41, and Trudeau, 54, were also seen spending time with children during the outing, including Perry’s five-year-old daughter Daisy, whom she shares with actor Orlando Bloom. Another child and an additional adult were also present as the group relaxed, ate together and spent time outdoors.

Later in the day, the group was seen preparing to leave the park, with Perry reportedly driving off in a vintage-style vehicle alongside Trudeau.

The sighting adds to ongoing public interest in the pair’s relationship, which first sparked rumours in mid-2025 after they were seen dining together in Montreal. Their appearances together have since become more frequent, including a yacht trip off the California coast and a public red carpet appearance earlier this year.

Perry recently confirmed the end of her long-term engagement to Orlando Bloom after a decade together. Trudeau, meanwhile, separated from his wife Sophie Grégoire in 2023 after 18 years of marriage.

The couple have not officially commented on their relationship status, but their recent public appearances continue to fuel speculation across social media and entertainment news outlets.

Neither Katy Perry nor Justin Trudeau’s representatives have issued a statement regarding the latest images.
