Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed expressed his gratitude to the Global Council for Tolerance & Peace (GCTP) for organising a global conference in North Macedonia, during which Pakistan was praised for its efforts to promote peace between Iran and the United States.

The conference was attended by the Speakers of Tanzania & Malta, as well as other parliamentary, political, think tank and opinion leaders of 22 countries from Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.

Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed met the President of North Macedonia, Gordana Davkova, who appreciated Pakistan's pivotal role in hosting peace talks between Iran and the US, and wished them good luck for their success.

In his speech at the conference today, Ambassador Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Jarwan, who was from the UAE and was previously Speaker of the Arab Parliament, profusely praised Pakistan's initiatives for peace to end the conflict in the Gulf and for hosting Iran-US peace talks.

Senator Mushahid Hussain remarked that the world was going through a historic transition marked by turbulence and transformation, with the Iran War accelerating the process of unravelling of the Western-led international order.
