PHC seeks replies in May 9 case

The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has issued notices to the concerned parties and sought their replies on a review petition seeking the cancellation of a case registered against PTI workers and local leaders in connection with violent protests in the jurisdiction of Faqirabad Police Station on May 9.

A single-member bench comprising Justice Aurangzeb Khan heard the review petition. Special Prosecutor Muhammad Inam Yousafzai appeared before the court and argued that the prosecution wishes to withdraw the case, registered as FIR No 614. The prosecutor informed the court that an application for withdrawal was earlier submitted before the ATC.
