Polio oversight body chief lauds Pakistan efforts

Chairman of the Polio Oversight Board Dr Chris Elias has appreciated the recent progress in Pakistan's health sector.

He expressed these views during a meeting with Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination Syed Mustafa Kamal in Geneva.

He assured continued support for vaccine availability and polio eradication efforts in Pakistan. Dr Elias is also expected to visit Pakistan in July this year.

He reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to completely eradicate polio, saying that coordinated vaccination campaigns and improved campaign quality would soon make the country polio-free.
