Mizna Waqas calls out on-set tantrums, poor hygiene in entertainment industry
Says actors should carry essentials such as tissues, soap bottles and mosquito repellent to shoots

Actor Mizna Waqas recently appeared on Maya Khan’s podcast, where she drew attention online for her candid and unfiltered remarks about hygiene and tantrums in the entertainment industry.
During the conversation, the actor reflected on her time working in film and television, offering a blunt look at on-set behaviour and the poor hygiene habits of some actors and staff members.
Clips from the episode went viral, with viewers reacting strongly to her confident tone and outspoken comments.
In one widely shared clip, Mizna humorously mimicked actors who forget their lines on set, joking about the chaos of large productions and exaggerated demands such as constant requests for personal assistance.
“‘What was my line?’” she said while flipping her hair dramatically. “There are 70 people around you, and you are still saying things like, ‘Give me a tissue, hand me my mirror, bring me my fan, what is my line again?’”
She also commented on hygiene habits and professionalism in general terms, saying some individuals appear overly particular about cleanliness while still showing poor personal hygiene on set. “They care so much about hygiene, but when they come close to you, their breath smells so bad,” said Mizna .
She joked, “I have even tried offering people elaichi, and they would say, ‘We don’t eat it,’ and I’d reply, ‘Can you please eat it for me?’” “The person in front of you is dying,” she added while laughing.
Mizna said she prefers to stay prepared during shoots by carrying personal essentials with her. “I always keep small tissues, disposable soap bottles, a hairbrush and a roll-on perfume with me,” she said.
The actor further remarked, “Some people have so many issues that I think it is better for them to just stay home. I get a migraine from hearing their complaints.”
“If someone has been complaining since morning that a certain product is not available in the bathroom, they should simply buy it and keep it in their bag. If you know you are going for a shoot, especially an outdoor one, keep mosquito repellent with you,” she added.
She also spoke about the professionalism of co-stars including Sonya Hussyn, Iqra Aziz and Yumna Zaidi, describing them as grounded and professional actors who do not create unnecessary demands on set.
Mizna is widely recognised for her role as Billo in the popular drama Suno Chanda, where she portrayed a lively character in a joint family setting.
