Sienna Miller 'threw herself' at Emily Blunt's husband John Krasinski for 'Jack Ryan: Ghost War' role
"Why am I not in one of your action movies?” Miller recalled asking Krasinski at Blunt's 40th birthday party

Sienna Miller is revealing the unusual way she landed her role in Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Miller said she jokingly “threw herself” at John Krasinski while celebrating her close friend Emily Blunt’s 40th birthday.
“We’d had a few drinks, and I said, ‘Why am I not in one of your action movies?’” Miller recalled. She said Krasinski responded by writing a role for her in the upcoming action film.
Miller stars as MI6 agent Emma Marlow in the movie, and she revealed that the character’s surname was inspired by her 13-year-old daughter, Marlowe. The actress said she was touched by the gesture and excited to join the action franchise.
Jack Ryan: Ghost War marks Krasinski’s return as the CIA analyst-turned-operative after the conclusion of Prime Video’s hit series. The film is set to premiere on Prime Video on May 20, 2026.
In the same interview, Miller also opened up about life as a mother of three after recently welcoming her third child with boyfriend Oli Green, joking about the chaos of traveling with a newborn, a toddler and a teenager.
