PIA repeal ordinance 2026 tabled in NA

ISLAMABAD:

The Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (Conversion) (Repeal) Ordinance, 2026 was laid in the National Assembly on Friday. The Ordinance had already been laid in the Senate.

Separately, a bill to regulate the insurance sector was also introduced in the House. Report of the Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue was also presented on the Bill, further to amend the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) Ordinance, 2001 (XLVI of 2001), the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) (Amendment) Bill, 2026.

The Annual Report of the NEC for FY2023–24 was presented in the NA.
