Begum Nusrat Bhutto Library launched

First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday inaugurated the Begum Nusrat Bhutto Library during a visit to the headquarters of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Islamabad.
The First Lady also visited an exhibition titled "Humanitarian Journey of PRCS," which highlighted the organisation's disaster response operations, historical relief activities and humanitarian initiatives linked to the Bhutto family.
Upon her arrival at the PRCS Headquarters, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari was received by PRCS Chairperson Farzhana Naek and senior officials. She was briefed on the humanitarian work and relief efforts carried out by the organisation since its establishment in 1947, including its volunteer network and youth engagement programmes across the country.
The First Lady unveiled a commemorative plaque for the newly designated Begum Nusrat Bhutto Library and later held a meeting with Farzhana Naek. During the meeting, she was informed that the library would benefit students from universities and educational institutions, while PRCS youth clubs and mentorship programmes are also being run nationwide for young volunteers.
Speaking on the occasion, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari appreciated the humanitarian services of PRCS and assured full support in strengthening the organisation's role in serving vulnerable communities.
