Hina Altaf recalls 'unsafe' workplace encounter, calls for accountability over predatory behaviour
Actor urges women to trust their instincts and speak up after sharing an unsettling workplace experience

Actor Hina Altaf recently took to social media to share an unsettling workplace experience she allegedly faced on set, revealing that she encountered a “predator” disguised as a professional and was left feeling unsafe. She said she relied on her instincts to remove herself from the situation.

Hina, who currently stars in Express Entertainment's Aye Dushman-e-Jaan, spoke about the reality many women face while navigating workplaces and public spaces in Pakistan.
She revealed that during a recent incident, she felt trapped in an uncomfortable situation but managed to safely remove herself from it before reporting the matter to the production house she was working with.
She further said it is exhausting that “being smart” has become a necessary survival mechanism for women instead of there being stronger laws and safer environments to protect them. Calling for accountability in such cases, she stated: “We cannot afford to stay silent or let these moments slide.”
The Aye Dushman-e-Jaan actor also urged women to trust their instincts, demand accountability, and refuse to compromise on their safety. She encouraged women to stand shoulder-to-shoulder in support of one another.
Hina has also briefly worked as a presenter on the teen show Girls Republic. She is best known for her roles as Zebo in Udaari, Eshal in Dil-e-Jaanam, and Zara in Dil-e-Gumshuda.
