Prime Video drops first look at The Summer I Turned Pretty movie
Prime Video releases first image of Belly and Conrad in The Summer I Turned Pretty movie now in production

Prime Video has released the first official image from The Summer I Turned Pretty movie, giving fans a long-awaited look at the return of Belly and Conrad as production moves forward on the franchise continuation.
The new photo shows Lola Tung and Christopher Briney, who reprise their roles as Belly Conklin and Conrad Fisher, smiling together in a behind-the-scenes moment. The image was shared on the show’s official Instagram account with the caption “Did you miss them?” confirming that the feature film is now officially in production.
The upcoming movie continues the story from the hit series, which concluded its three-season run in 2025. The original show, based on Jenny Han’s bestselling YA trilogy, followed Belly’s emotional coming-of-age journey set against the backdrop of Cousins Beach and a complicated love triangle involving the Fisher brothers.
Jenny Han, who created and co-showran the series adaptation, is also directing and co-writing the film, ensuring continuity with the original vision. The film is expected to expand on the unresolved emotional threads left at the end of the series finale, where Belly and Conrad’s relationship reached a pivotal turning point.
Alongside Tung and Briney, the ensemble cast is expected to include returning fan-favourite characters from the series, although full casting details for the movie have yet to be confirmed.
Production is currently underway, though Prime Video has not announced an official release date. Earlier in the month, the show’s production team addressed fan behaviour on set locations, urging viewers to respect filming boundaries after disruptions and safety concerns.
Despite the wait for a release window, excitement has surged online following the first image drop, signalling strong anticipation for the next chapter in the beloved YA romance saga.
