Pakistan is gearing up for its first-ever rap reality show, set to premiere later this month, after the official page released a teaser offering audiences a glimpse of what to expect. The competition will feature 12 up-and-coming rappers battling for the title of “Rap Icon” across 10 episodes.

The newly released promo features rap stars Talha Anjum and Bohemia as judges, alongside a lineup of aspiring rappers competing in intense battle-rap performances.

Styled with flashy jewellery, dramatic visuals, and high-energy stage performances, the teaser shows contestants dissing their opponents in classic rap battle fashion. The promo also confirmed that the show will begin streaming on YouTube from May 24.

In an earlier interview, executive producer Rizwan Siddiqui said the project aims to discover the next generation of rap stars, describing it as a search for the next “Talha Anjum and Bohemia of Pakistan”.

The series also marks another step in the growth of reality television in Pakistan. In recent years, international formats such as MasterChef and Shark Tank have received local adaptations, reflecting growing interest in unscripted entertainment.

The upcoming rap competition is expected to create new space for rap culture within Pakistan’s mainstream entertainment industry while giving emerging artists a national platform.
