Alizeh Shah, Zoha Waseem clash online over auto-tune remarks

Actress Alizeh Shah and singer Zoha Waseem were trending on social media this week over a feud in which Waseem was accused of using auto-tune during a recent rehearsal performance.

Shah took to her Instagram this week to criticise Waseem’s rehearsal set, where the singer was seen performing her trending song Majboor and appearing frustrated with crew members for not playing the correct part of the track. The criticism reportedly came after alleged comments attributed to Waseem about the actor surfaced online.

“Guys, she needs attention. God, jealousy on top. People don’t look at you and you are getting jealous of others”, was the alleged comment.

Later, Shah posted a video and message on her Instagram story, writing: “Learn how to sing your song without a tone, first. It’s not such horrible times that I have to be jealous of you”.

She added: “Did anyone even know you before this stupid song? Get well soon, girl. You got four days of hype, don’t go overboard”.

Shah was also seen covering her nose while mimicking Waseem’s voice to the viral chorus of Majboor, saying she was tired of hearing the same lyrics repeatedly.

Waseem later responded on social media, clarifying that the account posting the alleged messages was not hers and stating that her official Instagram page is her only authentic social media account.

She also used the opportunity to respond to critics, joking: “Next time I will use better auto-tune, guys.”

While some users agreed with Shah’s criticism regarding the alleged use of auto-tune, others shared viral clips of Waseem performing song covers live, praising her singing ability.
