Widow gets land after 56 years

MUZAFFARGARH:

A 90-year-old widow received justice after a struggle spanning 56 years when the local administration retrieved her illegally occupied land and restored it to her possession. 

The incident took place in Bait Qaim Wala, Basti Gaadi, Kot Addu district, where the elderly woman’s close relatives Jahangir and Muhammad Rashid had allegedly been occupying her one Kanal and three Marlas of land for over five decades.

Despite repeated efforts by local elders and community members over the years, the land could not be vacated.
