Stepson kills father over dispute

A youth allegedly killed his stepfather over a dispute in the Mehr Shah area on Thursday. Police said the deceased, Ghulam Abbas, had recently arrived from Lahore along with his stepson Mustafa for labour at a local brick kiln.

An argument reportedly erupted when the father asked Mustafa to work, which led to a heated exchange between the two. During the altercation, Mustafa allegedly attacked Ghulam Abbas with bricks, inflicting severe head injuries that proved fatal on the spot.
