Karachi airport to get modern air traffic control
A state-of-the-art air traffic control (ATC) system will be installed at Karachi Airport after the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) approved the project's PC-I, sources said.
The modern air traffic control system will be installed at Jinnah Terminal Airport to replace the existing system used for managing commercial flight operations. Officials said the upgrade had become essential and the new system will provide improved assistance to aircraft compared to the existing setup.
The Pakistan Airports Authority is expected to issue an international tender for the project in the coming days following the approval.
