'Govt, army on same page, right now'

ISLAMABAD:

PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that, at present, the government and the military establishment are on the same page, and both political and military leadership have helped save Pakistan from default.

Speaking to the media on Sunday, he said that he had some reservations when the government formed, which is why he did not join the team. He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif worked tirelessly day and night for the country.

Rafique alleged that India used the Pahalgam incident as a pretext to attack Pakistan, but said that Pakistan's armed forces and air force responded strongly, demonstrating their capabilities to the world.
