Four suspects killed in 'police encounters' in Hyd, Larkana
The Hyderabad and Larkana police shot dead four suspected robbers in separate encounters on Sunday. A policeman also sustained a gunshot injury to his leg in one of those encounters occurring in the limits of Phuleli police station in Hyderabad.
A citizen complained of being robbed in the Cloth Market area by seven men. The suspects were chased and an ex-change of fire allegedly occurred in in which suspect Asif Ali was shot dead while constable Shoaib Rajput sustained a bullet wound. Five of their associates managed to escape.
The other encounter took place in the jurisdiction of Market police station where Ghafoor Maachi was shot dead.
SSP Larkana told the media that the cops were fired upon by some suspects resulting in deaths of two of the suspects in retaliatory fire.
He identified the slain suspects as Qurban Sanjrani and Yaseen Mahesar, accusing them for being involved in dozens of incidents of crimes besides being booked in 30 FIRs. Meanwhile, Sajrani's family has accused the cops for staging a fake encounter, claiming that he earned his livelihood by repairing bikes.
