While addressing a convention of PSM workers at the Karachi Press Club, the senator said Pakistan People’s Party will not privatise an organisation which is playing an important role in the country's economy. He added that PSM has never been a burden on the national ex-chequer.
He said a parliamentary committee will check the progress and balance sheets of major industries every six months.
Also addressing the occasion was Federal Minister for Industries and Production Mir Hazar Khan Bijrani who added that the mill has deposited Rs97 billion in the form of taxes and duty.
