ISLAMABAD:

Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Usman Shaukat and Senior Vice President Khalid Farooq Kazi called on Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan to brief him on their recent visit to the United States, according to a statement issued on Saturday.

The minister appreciated the delegation's proactive engagement with US stakeholders and termed such initiatives vital for strengthening Pakistan's economic diplomacy. He reiterated that Pakistan is committed to promoting structured, business-focused cooperation with the US for sustainable trade growth.

The RCCI delegation shared key outcomes of its engagements with US lawmakers, business leaders and chambers of commerce. The visit generated strong interest in expanding Pakistan-US commercial ties, particularly in steel, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, minerals, mining and technology.

The delegation briefed the minister on Capitol Hill discussions centred on strengthening bilateral trade relations. American stakeholders expressed interest in deeper economic engagement and highlighted the importance of policy consistency and investor facilitation.

Meetings with the New York City Economic Development Corporation and the New York Chamber of Commerce also received positive responses regarding partnerships with Pakistan's private sector. The growing role of the Pakistani diaspora, especially in technology, was identified as a strong bridge for promoting Pakistan's business potential in the US.
