MUZAFFARGARH:

A six-year-old boy succumbed to injuries after being mauled by stray dogs in Alipur tehsil, highlighting growing concerns over the stray animal menace in the area.

The victim's family said the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Kandai police station, where a pack of stray dogs attacked the child, Rizwan, leaving him critically injured.

He was immediately shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital in Alipur for emergency treatment. Due to the severity of his injuries, doctors referred him to Nishtar Hospital Multan for advanced care.

The child remained under treatment for three days but could not survive and passed away on Saturday. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
