Rs200m worth of liquor seized in joint maritime operation

Intercepts stateless vessel carrying large quantity of illicit liquor intended for unlawful distribution

The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) on Monday said it had confiscated foreign liquor worth Rs200 million during a joint intelligence-based operation in the Arabian Sea.

According to a statement, a maritime interdiction operation led to the interception of a stateless vessel carrying a large quantity of illicit liquor concealed onboard and intended for unlawful distribution.

“The operation was carried out through a coordinated effort by the Pakistan Navy, PMSA, Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre and Anti Narcotics Force (Sindh), demonstrating effective inter-agency collaboration and operational synergy,” said the statement.
