Opposition MPAs appointed to key standing committees

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Secretariat has formally notified the appointment of several opposition members to various standing committees of the provincial assembly.
The official notification, issued on Thursday, includes lawmakers elected on reserved seats and aims to ensure broader representation in the committees responsible for scrutinising government departments and policies.
According to the notification, Sattar Afridi has been appointed to the Standing Committee on Revenue and Estate, Aamna Jaleel Jan to Higher Education, Madina Gul Afridi to Relief and Rehabilitation, and Rabia Shaheen to the committee on Climate Change and Forestry.
Other key appointments include Nilofar Begum in the Information and Public Relations committee, Naheeda Noor in Energy, Arifa Bibi in Communications and Works, and Faiza Malik in the Law and Human Rights committee.
The notification further assigns Afshan Hussain to the Food committee, while Shazia Jadoon and Jamila Paracha have been included in the Health committee. Farah Khan joins the Finance committee. For the Establishment committee, Shazia Tehmas Khan, Mehr Sultana, Ashbar Jan Jadoon, and Khadija Bibi have been nominated.
