Actor Faysal Quraishi recently featured on a podcast with Shahzad Nawaz where he discussed his disappointment over not getting a Sitara-e-Imtiaz. The actor expressed sadness over not getting a Sitara-e-Imtiaz after his success in the industry. “I am thinking of going to the Imtiaz store as a protest and announcing that I am standing in Imtiaz, but I still haven’t received any Sitara. I hope I will get one from the Imtiaz store,” he joked.
Quraishi went on to say, “they have sent my name back twice. It’s been 33 years that I’ve been in the field, and I don’t know who gets Sitara-e-Imtiaz. I think I’m deficient in calcium - that’s why they aren’t giving me the award.”
Although Quraishi was making light of the moment, it seemed he was also upset over not being able to receive the award in comparison to other celebrities.
Many fans also took to Instagram to show support for the actor, terming him one of the best actors in Pakistan. They stated that he has done a lot for the Pakistan entertainment industry and deserves the award.
Quraishi is well-known for his roles in Case No.9 (2025), Fitoor (2021), Baba Jani (2018), as well as for hosting his own game shows, morning shows, and Ramzan specials.
