Pokémon Pokopia and IKEA collaboration brings in-game homes to real life
Pokémon Pokopia and IKEA launch crossover with themed rooms, events and rewards in Japan stores

Pokémon Pokopia and IKEA have launched a collaboration in Japan, combining in-game design features with physical retail experiences as part of a limited-time event.
The partnership marks IKEA Japan’s 20th anniversary and focuses on allowing players to create and explore themed living spaces both digitally and in-store.
The crossover introduces a new in-game location called IKEA Island within Pokémon Pokopia. Players can visit areas inspired by characters such as Pikachu and Snorlax, where themed rooms designed by IKEA interior teams are available to explore and unlock.
These designs have also been recreated inside IKEA stores across Japan, enabling visitors to walk through real-life versions of the same environments.
The Pikachu-themed space features bright colours and forest-inspired elements, while the Snorlax room centres on comfort, rest and a more relaxed layout.
The collaboration runs from April 1 to May 10 in physical stores, while the in-game IKEA Island will remain accessible until June 30. During this period, participating stores will host additional activities linked to the crossover.
From April 18, a stamp rally event will allow visitors to locate Pokémon characters around the store and collect seven stamps while engaging with IKEA-related information.
Customers who spend at least ¥5,000 will receive limited-edition stickers and gain entry into a prize draw. Rewards include a ¥100,000 IKEA gift card and exclusive collaboration merchandise.
Selected IKEA locations will also feature themed restaurant items, including Pokémon-inspired cake decorations and designated photo areas for visitors.
