PM Shehbaz arrives in Karachi, visits PPP's Sherry Rehman to condole daughter's passing

Says the sorrow of losing a young child is unbearable for parents

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday visited the residence of Pakistan Peoples Party Vice President Senator Sherry Rehman upon his arrival in Karachi to express condolences over the demise of her daughter, Marvi Khorshed Malik.

Sherry's daughter passed away at the age of 35 after a brain haemorrhage on Sunday. She had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Karachi. Her condition deteriorated three days before her death, requiring ventilation.

According to the Prime Minister's office, PM Shehbaz expressed his grief over the loss and offered prayers.

"The sorrow of losing a young child is unbearable for parents," he said. "There are no words to express the grief of losing a child. May Allah grant the deceased a place in Jannah and give patience to the family," he added.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Sindh Governor Nehal Hashmi, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar and Information Minister Ataullah Tarar were also present on the occasion.
