BTS’s livestreamed comeback concert special on Netflix has drawn 18.4 million global viewers, according to figures released by the streaming platform.

The one-hour broadcast featured the group’s performance in Seoul, South Korea, held on March 21, marking the first time all seven members have performed together since October 2022. The event coincided with the release of their new album ARIRANG, which dropped the day before the concert.

The performance took place in front of approximately 100,000 members of the BTS fanbase, known as ARMY, gathered at Gwanghwamun Square. The group, consisting of RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook, showcased material from the newly released album during the event.

Netflix reported that the special reached number one in 24 countries and entered the weekly top 10 in 80 countries. The company also stated that the campaign generated 2.62 billion global social impressions across its own channels.

In a statement, Netflix noted, “From Asia to the Americas, BTS dominated the Netflix charts as fans tuned in simultaneously to witness the start of the next chapter for one of the world’s biggest bands.”

The release of ARIRANG also set streaming milestones. Spotify announced that the album became the most-streamed album in a single day on its platform in 2026 so far, while also becoming the most-streamed K-pop album in Spotify history.

BTS previously released their last full-length album in 2020, titled Be, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Following that release, members pursued solo activities and completed mandatory military service.

The group is now preparing for an extensive world tour scheduled across 34 cities in 2026 and 2027. Ahead of that, BTS is undertaking promotional appearances in the United States, including scheduled appearances on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Netflix is also set to release BTS: The Return on March 27, a documentary focusing on the making of ARIRANG, which will provide behind-the-scenes insight into the group’s latest project.
